Third Sentence Thursday
Third Sentence Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by Sniffly Kitty's Mostly Books for glorifying the third sentences of these things we call books.
This week's theme is review the sentence from your current read.
1) Take the book you are reading now and post the third sentence
2) Review this sentence anyway you want (funny and silly reviews encouraged)
3) Post a link to your sentence here or if you don't have a blog, just post it in the comments!
4) Prepare for next week's theme, which is going to be the same as this week's!
My Third Sentence:
Still from Wintergirls I am such a slow reader this week, what with all this holiday business. But I only have a few chapters left so hopefully I can get this done before Christmas itself. I really don't want to read about anorexia on Christmas dinner LOL:
Lia is an anorexic, and the sentence above is about her cooking for her mother and trying to ignore her hunger. Anorexics are very hungry people, but they choose to ignore their hunger in order to keep themselves thin. It's all about control, and anorexics have a lot of it when it comes to eating. It's depressing, really, to deal with a person with an eating disorder. They keep insisting they are stronger when they do not eat, they have this warped perception of themselves that if thinner, they'll be better.
Nina is busy reading. When she's not too busy with her books, she works as a nurse and gets hit by little boys and girls that she poked with a needle. Her hobbies include reading, sharing great reads with her mother/brother/boyfriend/friends, and practicing how to dodge children's fists.
