Teaser Tuesdays (First Ever!)

Teaser Tuesdays
is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:

As you can see on my side bar, I'm supposed to be currently reading The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards. But yesterday, the boyfriend and I went to the mall to go get new books (his gift for my birthday), and after he bought the one I wanted (Dash and Lily's Book of Dares -sweet!), we still went around and looked at other titles. That's when I found this book, I Kissed a Zombie and I Liked It by Adam Selzer. I laughed out loud at the title and got more interested by the blurb. So today, I sort of interrupted my reading routine to finish this first before The Memory Keeper, since it's just a very short novel anyway.

So here we go:

"He climbs slowly down the ladder - I can tell that it hurts him like hell. I sit up on the mattress and he sits next to me."

-I Kissed a Zombie and I Liked It by Adam Selzer, page 89

  1. I've never heard of this book before. Sounds cute though! Fun teaser.

  2. I don't know yet actually... I've only gotten about 10 pages into the book, and then I got interrupted by life heh~~ I'll definitely post up a review when I'm done ^.^

The title for your teaser book mildly grosses me out. (totally squeamish T_T) Seems like it will be sweet though at least the teaser is.

    Here's my teaser

  6. Ohhh fun teaser! And that title sounds like this one will be a cute, humorous read. Nice choice!

  7. Here is my teaser from Witchgrass: A Pipe Dream by Dave Wilkinson (Page 1):

Most gardeners hate witchgrass. Of all weeds it is one of the most persistent and adaptable. Any small piece of rhizome left in the soil can become an aggressive plant ready to take over the plot. Witchgrass is hard to pull. Roots are deep, and break off easily. Any part left in the ground will grow again. Farmers say the species isn't even good as hay, not as good as timothy or alfalfa. Some call it quickgrass.

Early New England colonists blamed evil people for this garden invader. In the seventeenth century villagers would speak this way:

"The surly woman living alone on her dead husband's estate. She goes into the woods and consorts with the Devil. Signs his book. Fornicates with him. Eats mushrooms. She and the Devil send witchgrass to harass the virtuous and the Godly. Let us hang this witch and seize her rich farm."

  8. Looks like an awesome book. Need to check on this. :)

Thanks for dropping by Clandestine Sanctuary

  9. Ewww...not zombies...there is nothing romantic about a zombie...they eat brains and crap...I hope that you are enjoying your book. Check out My Teaser for Tuesday.

I just have to tell you, ARGH feeds on awesomeness, so if you can, drop him some awesome here, and I promise to give some awesome back :D

Right now, because of my really busy schedule, I'm cutting back on receiving awards. So until further notice, me and ARGH would not be accepting awards. But thank you for thinking of us, we really appreciate it!
